We are pleased to introduce the Spring 2019 collection from Brixton.
The Spring collection takes its inspiration from the music, culture and traditions of dancehall, and the impact it has had across the world.
Growing out of Jamaica in the 70s, dancehall would prove an important influence for early punk bands like Blondie and particularly The Clash, who were a huge inspiration on Brixton when launching the brand in 2004.
The spirit and sound of dancehall has inspired this collection - a celebration of colour and unique style. Colours of leaf green, patriot blue, clay and gold come together to form this season's vibrant colour story.
This season we are very excited to launch the new Steady Pant and Short - a comfortable, relaxed fit style made from 5oz cotton canvas with a drawcord waist. The ultimate easy wear in a selection of bold colours, prints and patterns and perfectly on trend.
Additionally we continue to shine the spotlight on the All Terrain range with new prints and colours across staple pieces like the Patrol Anorak, Toil II and Transport Cargo Short.
The Spring collection gives us our first flow of product for the warmer weather, including a variety of fits and materials offered across our range of shorts. The popular Madrid Short returns alongside a Cargo Short inspired by our best-selling pant. For the first time we are also excited to be able to offer a later March delivery window for shorts and tanks.
In recent seasons we've found great success with some of the more unique fits and fabrics added to our range of pants, and are pleased to continue that this season with the brown plaid Toil Pant and Santos Track Pant, alongside the new Steady Pant in five colours.
This season we are also adding a new faded indigo wash to both Reserve and Labor denim fits as well as the Cable Trucker Jacket. Both pants feature a button-fly, chain stitched hems, belt loop rivet and custom Brixton hardware.
Patterned short-sleeve shirts have also proved hugely popular this year and we only see that getting stronger in 2019. New prints in our Charter and Lovitz shirts continue to add colour to our range of wovens, and sit alongside an expanded range of short-sleeve polo knits including the new Este and Caledonian designs.
This leads into the rest of our custom tees and jerseys, featuring three variations of striped knits, the football inspired Aston knit and the Proxy mesh jersey.
Not forgetting that we can still expect plenty of colder weather, the Spring collection also includes new colour options in the Bowery and Archie flannels and the addition of some great new colours to our range of fleece. The best-selling B-Shield Crew and Pullover Hood are available in the new leaf green, along with a selection of other designs in copper, gold and khaki. The United Mock Neck forms part of a two piece with a matching navy sweatpant.
The colour story continues through a reduced Spring range of outerwear, with bold new colours offered in the Claxton Jacket and Patrol Anorak, and runs into a great selection of printed tees. With designs inspired by dub and reggae record sleeves, Standard and Premium tees are available in new colours including gold, leaf green and red clay. Longsleeves are also improved with new colours and designs incorporating chest, back and sleeve prints.
The history of dancehall brought a lot of inspiration when it comes to our range of custom headwear and provided the opportunity for experimentation with new materials and fabrics that have been applied across our most popular shapes including the Fiddler, Hooligan and Brood. Spring also sees Brixton extend the range of straw hats on offer, followed by continued development of bucket hat options and our staple felt fedoras in new colours.
This seasons cap selection has been reduced to hone in on the strongest options for each profile. Staple graphics like B-Shield, Stowell, Wheeler and Oath back up some great seasonal logos in a full spectrum of colours.
Joining them are new colours in both Basin backpacks and our new Stewart shoulder pack in camo and black, before the collection is completed by the Brewer Belt, Scroll Key Clip and Neil Braces.
Finally, Brixton continue to develop their range of womens headwear in anticipation of a full womens collection in the near future. This season's selection features a variety of options based around the Fiddler shape in a number of unique colours, which are supported by additional womens colours in the Ollie, Hooligan and Brood.
Spring also includes a new range of visors and a great collection of straw hats featuring new shapes and designs. This season's womens accessories include the Evangeline Kimono, London Scarf and Courtney Bag as well as two new hip packs.
